Viability studies are a good investment as they go a long way to understanding what – and, above all, if – to launch in a new market. They are more or less articulate, depending on the type of space a company is looking to fill in the U.S. – are you looking for funding, will parts or all of your product be development and/or produced in the United States? The good news is that because research is a necessary part of any internationalization project, companies may find funding is available through government grants and that it will cover some part of the investment of executing a study.
A viability study is an investigation that tries to determine the profitability or feasibility of a business idea, or plan. Our experience in creating these studies has been around startups using public funding to document and validate a new technology as a solution to fill a current need or to intersect a future need, based on current visible trends.
